Modding
Just recently got a shipment of parts from SIP for various scooters, including some goodies for the PX.
Quick fix: Changing the rubber on the side panels...
Started changing the indicators to "clear" optics, but managed to break both front glasses during installation.
The clear optics set is definitely lower quality that the original parts, and after some research I found the problem:
Basically, you will have to drill new holes due to difference in alignment of bolts. Not an option for me.
I ended up just changing the bulbs to silver bulbs, taking away the "eggyolk" effect.
Reinstalled the original indicators with new bulbs.Yes, they work.
A set of SIP polished tubeless have also been prepared for the PX. To be mounted.

Hydraulic brake fluid change & some small details
Made a laminated copy of the registration papers at work today...
Added the missing rubber piece on the kick...
I reckon the hydraulic fluid hasn't been changed since the scooter was new, unless this is done on service. Old brake fluid attracts water, and things can start to rust from inside. Anyway, easy job changing, so I did.
Easy access to bleeding nipple...
Single point bleed system...
...and some fresh DOT4+ brake fluid...
Second final touch: Added a Roughnecks logo.
Final touch: New original grips. The left one missed a chrome piece, changing them was only option for 100% look.

Clutch and gearwire service
No way around; the broken clutch adjustment bolt would have to be removed the hard way:
First by drilling larger and larger hole... First version
Improved setup... second version. This actually saved the day, without having to dismantle the exhaust.
Next object of concern: A stubborn gearbox. Inspection of gear shift mechanism revealed...
...that nobody ever had adjusted the cables. Tightening the cables did the trick!
Same with the rear brake; adjustment was all that was needed.
A quick oil change, and voila: Ready for maiden voyage.
Welcome to the Scooter Sanatorium. "It's easy to get admitted, but one seldom leaves the premises".

Initial check of the Silver Bullet
Just got the scooter today, and tomorrow we head for Sokndal and Vestlandsrun 2013! Plan was to take the new scoot for a ride. But first: A quick check. First inspection uncovered a gearing and clutch issue.
Clutch and gear needed a check, and as I suspected;
A damaged clutchcable...
Significant slack in the gearing cables will also impair gearing quality... adjustment needed.
Clutch cable wire was dragged out using a bit of force, but fitting a new cable was more difficult than expected. Turns out the adjustment mechanism and clutch cable on the engine side was distorted some way. No other solution than to dismantle.
Have a close look at this picture; during dismantle I managed to break the adjuster while inside casing. The cable sleeve has seen better times, question is whether it can be shortened beyond damage. Alternative is to pull a new cable sleeve, arghh. Time to take a timeout, this will have to be fixed another day.
This scooter is NOT going to Vestlandsrun 2013.
Arrival of PX200E
Staying home sick for two days has its cost; I ended up purchasing this 2002 PX200E...
Overall condition good, run approx 26600km, but a stubborn clutchhandle and gearing that needs to be sorted. Some minor modding performed, like small license plate, custom mirror and side stand.
